My background

Since 2007, I have been providing mental health counseling services to children ages 6 and up, individual adults, couples and families.

Currently, I provide counseling services to English-speaking expat children, adolescents, and individual adults in Amsterdam.

My credentials are as follows:

  • California-licensed marriage and family therapist

  • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Colorado, Boulder

  • Master’s degree in Marital and Family Therapy from the University of San Diego

  • Providing both in-home and in-office counseling sessions

If you've just moved to Amsterdam or you're a seasoned expat, mental health counseling can help you through life's transitory times.

Hello and welcome,

As an expatriate myself, I’m inspired to utilize my education and clinical experience to provide counseling services for other non-native Netherlands residents. Whether you have recently relocated, or are facing challenges living abroad, I can assist you in finding understanding and coping mechanisms for life transitions.

My goal is to help lessen the angst and confusion that often accompanies a move, while helping you adapt to your new surroundings. I deliver a collaborative, client-centered approach to counseling. Together, we will tailor an individualized treatment plan to meet your goals.

I am passionate about helping individuals and families have a successful and rewarding experience living as an expatriate. Please feel free to email me to discuss counseling options. I offer a complimentary 20-minute consultation.

Looking forward to speaking with you,
Katie Reindl, MFT (MFC 52114 )
